Having The Right Song List

Choosing a song list may not be music to your ears.  Whether you are a techno chic or rocker gal you have to make sure that your music is pleasing to the general consensus and not just to just your liking.  The best thing to do is choose songs that are familiar to almost everyone while mixing it up a bit.

Your entrance song will set the tone of the wedding.  If you want your guests to be ready to party pick a song that will get the crowd excited.  If you want your wedding to be romatical and elegant you should stick to something with a soft tone.

The night should consist of a variety of music since the age groups of the crowd will vary.  You need to please the older generations with some classics that make them feel comfortable to be a part of a younger event.  Although it may seem cliché, you need to throw one Frank Sinatra song in there.  The best time for these tunes is before and/or during dinner.  You will also be surprised how many of your younger guests will appreciate the classics that they listened to in the backseat of their parents car on the way to grandma’s.

After dinner is when you can ease into the fun music with some pop hits that everyone knows and then the last hour you can play what you really like.  You DO NOT have to close with Donna Summers Last Dance!  Make the closing song more original and defining of the two of you and not what has been played at every sweet 16, graduation and wedding.
